Corporate Tax Rates

When I see discussions about Corporate Tax Rates I see it noted that the United States has one of the higher ones. This might well be true. However some of our income taxes after loopholes and shelters are the lowest in the Western World. In short revenue has to come from somewhere.

An interesting idea was floated on a show I saw the other day. Corporations who bring jobs back home, that they had previously set up elsewhere, will get for a time period a lower tax rate than those that continue to produce all their goods overseas.

Look the days of assuming that Corporations are run by patriotic men who believe in the red, white and blue are gone. It is money first, second and last. That said if we can find a way to entice them to recapitalize we might see our economy improve. Of course morally I would like to see us to this without selling our soul to the highest bidder.

My answer of tariffs and forcing products to be made here seems never to be a serious thought.
