We in Maine are in trouble. The candidates for Governor are about as weak a lot as you will ever find. This week the ads started appearing on television. We have Paul Lepage telling us how running Mardens qualifies him to be governor and Libby Mitchell advising that she is an environmentalist. I believe in saving the environment too but I am not sure in an economically depressed state that should be the lead for your candidacy. Then we have some fellow named Sean Moody who is running as an independent. All I know about him is he has an accent like the fellow in the CMP adds telling us that no line is safe to touch evah.
Seriously what a terrible group. Elliott Cutler has no adds out yet. This makes me wonder if he has no money.
With the problems facing this state as regards its budget it is no wonder no one wants to be governor. I think we would be better off if these clowns did not either.
