Advertisement: Pocket and Longreads, A Match Made in Heaven
For someone like me there is more information available to read on a daily basis than there is time to read. Books, Magazines, and the multitude of online sources can fill your day.
Recently I have found a Website called Longreads. This website gathers long articles from magazines, newspapers, and other sources both in print and online media and makes them available. Yesterday I found articles I would like to read, and this is just a small sample, The Atlantic, Newsweek, The New York Times, and Sports Illustrated.
Another recent find that facilitates this website is Pocket. There are many programs and apps available to save articles for later reading, the tablets such as the Ipad have made this a booming business, the Pocket program is the best I have seen.
It runs as smooth as could be. Going through the Longreads website I look at an article, decide to read it later, press a button, and then it is in the Pocket App on both my phone and Ipad. The next time I am waiting for my children somewhere, or my wife is in the grocery store, all I need do is pull up the app on the phone and start or continue an article.
For those of us who find much to read online ...check out Pocket. To find some of the best articles being written today look at Longreads.
These work great together. Check them out.
